Set within our private family property in Saint-Louis, Studio 1 is a calm, well-maintained space designed for guests who spend their days exploring, working, or visiting — and simply need a comfortable, peaceful place to rest. Garden-level with its own private entrance, the studio is fully and warmly lit throughout — a quiet retreat at the end of a full day. We live and work on site, and we welcome every guest personally on arrival.
About the Studio 1
The coffee corner takes care of morning essentials — Nespresso, kettle, microwave and mini-fridge, with a welcome supply of coffee and tea on arrival. For everything else, the neighbourhood delivers: three supermarkets open seven days a week, the Leyes patisserie five minutes on foot, and a range of restaurants — Le Trianon, Fuji Sushi and Wok 68 among them — all within easy walking distance. Business travellers will find a full-service dry cleaner directly across the street. Basel is minutes away by public transport — no car needed.
Saint-Louis sits at the start of EuroVelo 15 — the Rhine Cycle Route — one of Europe’s great long-distance cycling journeys. The Passerelle in nearby Huningue, one of the longest pedestrian and cycle bridges in Europe, puts the Rhine path directly at your door. Flat riverside trails lead north through Alsace toward Strasbourg, or cross into Basel where the Park im Grünen and the Tierpark Lange Erlen make for a rewarding half-day ride.
The Vitra Design Museum park in Weil am Rhein is another natural stop — striking architecture set in open grounds, best visited on two wheels. La Petite Camargue Alsacienne and the Parc des Eaux Vives are within easy reach for a shorter outing. The Black Forest and Freiburg are a short train ride away for those looking to venture further.

Saint-Louis is directly on the Swiss border. Basel city centre is under 10 minutes by car. The TER train from Saint-Louis station reaches Basel SBB in 7 minutes. Tram 3 and Bus 604 provide direct connections without a car. The TriRegio day pass covers public transport across France, Switzerland, and Germany.
Is Studio 1 suitable for business travellers?

How does the booking process work?
Studio 1 is available for direct booking without a platform. Check availability in the calendar above, then submit an enquiry using the form below. We confirm availability and send a booking contract by email within 24 hours. The signed contract must be returned and payment initiated within 24 hours to secure your dates. Payment is made in two separate SEPA bank transfers — the rental amount and a refundable damage deposit of €250, returned after departure provided the studio is left in good condition. Do you welcome guests personally?
Yes — we live on the same property and welcome every guest personally on arrival. Check-in is between 14:00 and 21:00. We are available throughout your stay while remaining entirely discreet. Studio 1 does not offer self check-in.
